MW4 DMZ Keys: Hajin Map Key Locations
MW4 DMZ keys open special loot rooms across Hajin, and every key names a grid cell in its description. This database lists each in-game key with its grid, the door it opens and what is inside, one page per key.
No keys are public yet. DMZ early access opens on 20 October at 17:00 UTC; confirmed keys appear here from then on.
How MW4 DMZ keys work
Keys are loot items that unlock special rooms. Activision’s Hajin guide confirms three things. First, keys open special loot rooms. Second, all keys found in DMZ have a grid location in their description. Third, Lieutenants, the mid-tier bosses, can drop the key to their own personal loot room when you kill them.
The official “Gone to the Dogs” story shows what that looks like: a key taken from the Lieutenant Warden carried the stamped location of a sealed door under NuriGO Mall. The room held a high-value plate carrier recipe, rare components and a weapon manual, all worth extracting with because recipes and weapon manuals unlock permanently at your FOB.
The guide also hints at doors that are locked from the inside, which means there is another way in, and at underground entrances in the rural and wooded areas. Those are worth noting even when you do not have a key.
How to find a key’s location from its grid
- Inspect the key in your backpack and read the grid cell in the description, for example D7.
- Open the MW4 DMZ map and type the cell into the search box. The cell lights up and the map zooms to it.
- Check which POI or named place sits in that cell, then look for buildings with locked doors there. Letters go west to east and numbers go north to south.
- Once a key is confirmed it gets its own page here with the exact door, so you can skip the search.
What each key page will show
- The key name exactly as the game shows it, plus the grid from the description.
- The building and floor of the door, with a marker on the Hajin map.
- What the room contained in our runs and in verified reports, and whether the key is one-use.
- Where the key drops: loose loot, a container, or a named Lieutenant.
- The date it was confirmed and the game update it was checked on, because seasons can move doors.
