MW4 DMZ PC Requirements

MW4 DMZ PC requirements are the same as for all of Modern Warfare 4: at least a Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 970 or RX 470 class card and 115 GB on an SSD. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must both be enabled.

TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required

Modern Warfare 4 will not run on PC unless TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are switched on. Both live in your motherboard firmware (BIOS/UEFI). On most AMD boards TPM is called fTPM, on Intel boards PTT. Secure Boot usually needs the disk to use GPT partitioning and the BIOS to be in UEFI mode rather than legacy or CSM. Check in Windows with tpm.msc and the System Information page before the DMZ release time, not after.

Other PC notes from Activision

Does DMZ need a stronger PC than multiplayer?

Activision publishes one set of requirements for the whole game. We expect DMZ to be heavier than multiplayer: Hajin is far larger than a multiplayer map, with long sightlines, a dense city and lots of AI, so plan for lower frame rates in Hajin City than in a 6v6 match on the same settings. If you are near the minimum spec, lower texture and shadow quality first.

PC requirement questions

Can I play MW4 DMZ on a hard drive?

Activision lists a 115 GB SSD for every tier, so a hard drive is below the published requirements.

Why will MW4 not start on my PC?

The most common reason is TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot being disabled. Both must be on in your BIOS/UEFI.
